ParkEasy: the social parking community.
It looks parking gets a lot of attention on my blog. This idea is all about helping others to find an easy parking spot. It works a bit like Uber but for future available (parking) space. When you are a member of the ParkEasy community, you check in your car wherever you park and notify ParkEasy when you will approximately be leaving your parking spot again. Another member of the ParkEasy community that looks for a parking spot in a certain area at a particular time gets notifications of the available ParkEasy spot that become free within a 15 mins timeframe. He can give a heads up that he will be arriving to take your place via the app.
It’s by code of the ParkEasy community that you only give our your parking spot to other members of the community. When the parking spot changes, ParkEasy community members both get rewarded with some transaction points. With those transaction points, you raise your profile within the community. Being a member of ParkEasy will become payable over time and when it is, any valuable member of the community will have raised enough transaction points to prolong their membership for free. The new ones start with a small registration fee to start and gain transaction points.
Repeat a radio song function.
I often sing along in my car. But a simple radio functionality which enables me to (buy and) repeat a song I like is lacking. Let’s make that happen.
Underground bottle parking for all kind of vehicles.
The idea is to create a bottle parking principle in which you don’t need much space above but only beneath the ground. This bottle parking principle with elevators makes more sense as it saves space and is much safer as the risk on theft and vandalism gets reduced to (almost) zero. It can also be used for bicycles. Imagine the places where you can’t get through anymore because the bike parkings are just so crowded. Another nice advantage is that you never have to look for you bike again.
How would it work?
You go to the ‘Bottled Parking Spot’ entrance, you drive in your vehicle, create a code and your vehicle gets stored to or retreived from the underground.
One headlight car design.
I simply don’t like how cars look like nowadays. The front is plain boring and i was thinking up the design of a car could be so much nice if they didn’t put 2 lightpositions which overlap.

What if we could have 1 centralised position with a phare that shines wide. In support you could have the original fog lamps on the original position or lower and two more at the side of the car (a bit like tuned cars) for a better night view of the surroundings. Starting with one light, one could create and design a complete different car and I am pretty sure the outcome will be a lot nicer (except you handle it like the p50, see image…). I don’t know why the logo is more important than the lighting or the total design of the car…
Think different, car manufacturers! Come up with some design innovation in your car designs!
Parking space optimising through augmented reality
Car sizes are different. Parking spots are pretty much the same everywhere. This concept idea obliges people to park their car exactly where the algorithm says. When entering the parking, the car gets recognised, dynamic (augmented reality/video) arrows guide the driver to their parking spot. As the driver approaches the parking spot – the spot gets drawn on the floor, taken into account some movement place to exit and enter the car, so the parking space can be use in the most optimal way. People who still can’t park their car correctly, get charged more.
The goal is to reduce and remove all friction of people parking cars poorly.

TYFC.com aim is straightforward. They connect car owners with potential car buyers. Basically it’s a collection of people who own cars and act as brand ambassador for car brands. They are willing voluntarily to share a testdrive with people who is willing to buy the same type of car. When somebody buys a car after arranging a testdrive via the website, both the car buyer and car lender, are giving a gift by the car manufacturer (car brand). The platform gets paid per connection made and gets in case of successful transactions a sales commission.

Heated steering wheels in cars.
Only a small idea as I have to pick up my kids and I am already pretty tired. 🙂
It shouldn’t be an option because any car with a leather steer should have it. Just because it can be so cold and I not always have gloves in my car… The option to turn it on and off could be directly accesible on the steer.
PBTS: Premium Business Taxi Service.
A premium taxi service by moto, car, helicopter, plane that connects business centers such as Brussel with London, Paris, Amsterdam,… It had been on my idea list for quite some time but only today i read in a newspaper that a company is willing to launch a helicopter service between Knokke and London. I also read somewhere else recently that there is a aviation charter service between LA, San Francisco and another town in the VS. Well combine all these minimal products in a end-to-end solution whereby business men can use this premium taxi service to get anywhere in a business center in the shortest amount of time possible. The special moto is a vital aspect in this business concept as the last few miles always proves the most time consuming ones (cfr. business case Bubble Post).
You have a premium subscription fee to be able to use the service and a lower usage fee depending on the transport means used.

Probably the thing that touches your chest most. Seem logic to me that the Scanadu Scout by Walter De Brouwer and Misha Chellam (or even Teddy the Guardian :)) types of this world start to close deals with car manufacturers to monitor our health, collect the data and anticipates in all possible ways to improve our daily health and thus lives. Connected cars, connected healthcare,… who thought these two would enforece eachother? A health checkup has never been easier.

I bought myself a new car. For the ladies – A spacious white one. For all the others – a BMW 520d touring. It looks a bit like a pimp car but it drives fantastic and it is excellent value for money.
I was thinking that it would be cool to extend the white where possible on the outside. That involves white wheel rims and tyres. Therefor I need colored tyres too but then I saw some Chinese people patented it already and bring it to market soon…
Parking made social: Rent out your own(ed) parking spot. #oipd
Whenever you walk through a city or even in small towns, you see these sign on driveways, garage doors and sometimes even on windows: DO NOT PARK HERE! Often they are accompanied by a car license plate that makes it clear there is one exception…
Most of the time, this potential parking spot is unused and takes up a lot of the potentially available parking space. I want to make this space available again with a simple piece of hardware. Everyone can order this piece of connected hardware and secure it on their wall or garage door. This ‘take my parking’ display type of thing displays a code people can interact with through an designated app (or sms). They can retrieve information until when the parking spot is available. where the nearest available parking spot is, etc.
This way people give away or sell parking time to other people.
In the marketing of the product and service I would go the social route (that medical practicians, social service workers (police, fire brigade, etc) can use available parking spots for free) and the money-making potential a unused parking spot.
