When I was in San Francisco last week with the HOWEST students, I visited VMWare. It wasn’t that inspiring but the quote we ‘abstract the abstraction’ keeps on tumbling in my head.
VMWare is all about secure environments that you spin up instances instantly. But there is one thing that I really lack. It’s not really possible to set up a tunnel between different vhosts and move selected date between these vhosts.
Open vmware secure transporter tunnels for selected data should solve that. It would take away the last gap in what i see lacking in their for the rest great virtualisation software.

Three programmable shortcut key buttons on every keyboard.
I often listen to music during work and I equally often get disturbed by my co-workers… When they do interrupt me in my work, I mute all sound in my headphone to focus on their questions (or suggestions) but I only realise much later that I didn’t pauze the music (album) I was listening to. I have to go back to the music player and guess where I left off listening to start over my listening session. Therefor, a physical ‘pauze and mute’ button in my keyboard would be awesome. Or I could just press both the pauze and mute button…
But than again… I would love the idea that every keyboard in the world has 3 white label keys that are programmable. So I want this pauze and mute shortcut? I ‘program’ it as such. Other people could have make their shortcuts do other stuff, such as ‘open facebook in chrome’ or ‘copy’ and ‘paste’ shortcuts or whatever one would want…
